RSETI IN RBI OUTREACH PROGRAMME

ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF RSETI IN RBI OUTREACH PROGRAMME Reserve Bank of India, conducted an outreach programme at Bijuori village in Umaria district of M.P. as part of its financial inclusion and awareness drive on 30-03-2012 . Shri V.K.Sharma Executive Director of RBI graced the occasion. Among others Shri S.K. Mishra Chief General Manager SBI , Commissioner, Shri Pradeep Khare , Collector Shri Bhatnager , G.M and Dy.GM of RBI , GM of CBI , DGM AND AGMs of SBI ,Chairman of RRB , M.L.A . General manager NABARD, other senior government officials and bankers attended the programme. A large number of villagers including women senior citizens, MNREGA beneficiaries, farmers, teachers and students also attended the programme . E.D. of RBI CGM and senior government officials visited to the stalls/pavilions set up by various SHGFs/NGOs, NABARD, Government Departments, RRB, SBI RSETI Umaria and RBI a the venue showcasing their products and services. The E.D. of RBI also interacted with Rseti Director J.P.Pandey and enquired about the performance of Rseti . Sbi- Rseti Umaria has putted its impressive stall for making awareness to available crowd at the function .The intention for this was to create awareness for financial literacy to concerned individuals . On the same ocassion Trainees of cutting, tailoring and dress design batch of tribal women got appreciation and certificate from E.D. of RBI ,CGM ,MLA and other officials at the same platform . The event become memorable because 32 women traibals trainees got loan of Rs 10000/ each under D.I.R. scheme .This happening spreaded the happiness to all 32 lifeless tribal women trainees in the form of a meaningfull training along with 100% settlement and 100%credit linkage . . Addressing the gathering E.D of RBI touched upon the important functions of RBI viz. issuing and managing currency, controlling inflation through formulation of monetary policy, expanding outreach and banking awareness deposit insurance scheme, etc. He highlighted the facilities of no frills account’, General Credit Card, Kissan Credit Cards and overdraft facilities against these accounts and also explained the BC model and mobile Banking scheme through which the above banking facilities could be availed. He advised the villagers to avail the services offered by different banks and to harness the natural potential available in the village and thereby improve their economic condition. ---- Jai Prakash Pandey , Director , SBI-RSETI Umaria
